Our Story
Meet Amos, founder of GreenWave Farm Market
Amos Wengerd, founder of GreenWave Farm Market, grew up on a produce farm in Pennsylvania. From a young age, he accompanied his dad to Farmer’s Markets in New York City, where he developed a deep love for growing fresh food and connecting directly with customers.

In 2017, Amos married Jenni Koehn, a native of New Plymouth, Idaho. After many visits to the area, he fell in love with Idaho’s charm and decided to make it home. In 2020, the couple moved to a small farm in Fruitland, Idaho.

Amos had long been intrigued by hydroponic farming, often visiting greenhouses and expanding his knowledge over the years. When he saw a need for fresh, year-round greens in the Treasure Valley, he started a greenhouse business wholesaling to local grocery stores.

While the greenhouse operation was a success, Amos never lost his passion for retail. So when the opportunity came to open a produce stand in Emmett, he and Jenni jumped at the chance—reviving the historic Sanders Fruit Ranch location.

Today, GreenWave Farm Market is open Tuesday through Saturday from March 1 to Thanksgiving, offering a wide variety of USA-grown fruits and vegetables—many harvested from their own farm and from nearby local growers. Whether organic or conventional, the produce is always fresh, and the service is always neighborly.

Amos takes pride in serving the community and is grateful for the opportunity to share the farm-fresh experience with others.
